Day
1: Christchurch - Dunedin
Council of Dundedin coach in Christchurch. En
route, you will see the plains of Canterbury,
and the cities of Timaru and Omaru. The Scenic
Drive takes you over Kilmog Hill and Mount Cargill,
before arriving in Dunedin, where you can spend
the night.
Day 2: Dunedin - Taieri Gorge - Queenstown
In the morning, take a tour of Dunedin and see
its heritage sites. In the afternoon, move on
the scene Taieri Gorge and admire the landscape
on the Taieri Gorge Train to Pukerangi. Then proceed
by bus to Queenstown, where you spend the night.
Day 3: Queenstown / Milford / Queenstown
Journey to Fiordland National Park. This World
Heritage Park is famous for its wild landscape
of thick forests, streams, waterfalls, snow-capped
peaks, glaciers, fjords, islands, valleys and
lakes. Take Te Anau and the tunnel Homer Eglinton
valley to arrive at Milford Sound. Here you can
have an enjoyable cruise on Milford Sound and
Mitre Peak and see waterfalls around you. Be Back
in Queenstown to spend the night.
Day 4: Queenstown
Spend a day in Queenstown and engage in hiking,
visit sheep farms, go on lake cruises, bungee
jumping and water sports. You can also try to
take a look at the skyline Gondola. Stay overnight
at Queenstown.
Day 5: Queenstown - Franz Josef
Board a coach for the west coast and Westland
National Park. Travel past Cromwell, Wanaka, Hawea,
and the Haast Pass and reach Franz Josef. Here
you can take a walking tour to the glacier and
take an exciting view of glacial landscape. Overnight
at Franz Josef.
Day 6 Franz Josef - Christchurch
Go for a Greymouth coach travel through dense
forest and landscape. Embark on the TranzAlpine
train. Travel past thick forest, by Arthur’s
Pass National Park, Otira Tunnel over Waimakariri
throat and the plains of Canterbury, before arriving
in Christchurch.
